- 12 - large lemons
- 1/2 cup - granulated sugar (plus extra for coating)
- 3 cups - water
- Optional: 1 cup vodka or bourbon (for the grown-up grillers!)
- Festive Garnishes: Fresh mint sprigs, lemon slices, blueberries, raspberries
Step 1
Prep the Lemons: Cut each lemon in half. In a small dish, add sugar. Dip the cut side of each lemon into the sugar, coating it well.Step 2
Smoke ‘Em! Preheat your grill to medium heat (around 350°F). Place the sugared lemons cut-side down on the grill grates. Grill for 5-7 minutes, or until the sugar is caramelized and you see those beautiful grill marks. Remove from the grill and let them cool slightly.Step 3
Juice It Up: Once the lemons are cool enough to handle, juice them into a large pitcher.Step 4
